South Carolina Class E household-goods certificate

A for-hire household-goods move between points in South Carolina uses a Public Service Commission Class E household-goods certificate. That certificate, a Class E hazardous-waste certificate, a certificate application, and a federal USDOT or MC number are different records.

150 Class E HHG rows

149 distinct certificate numbers

Workbook file name date token 2026-08-04. Every household-goods row prints Filing Status Active.

S.C. Code Ann. Regs. 103-114

Class E certificate

Class E covers household goods or hazardous waste for disposal. This count is household goods only.

3 Class E HAZ rows

Excluded from the 150

Those three rows sit on the same sheet. They are not household-goods certificates, and the separate hazardous-waste file was not counted.

Class E household-goods workbook

The ORS Class E page links Regulated Household Goods Carriers to Active_HHG_Certificates_20260804.xlsx. The sheet named Active HHG Certificates has 153 data rows. 150 print Filing Type Class E HHG. 3 print Filing Type Class E HAZ. The household-goods count is the 150 Class E HHG rows. The sheet total is not that count. A hidden choice-list sheet was not counted.

The 150 household-goods rows print 149 distinct certificate numbers and 150 CRM certificate records. Certificate 9774-A is American Van Lines Inc., DBA MBM Moving Systems, on two CRM records. Both print Class E HHG and Active. Those two records were not collapsed, and the printed name was not counted twice as two companies. 149 distinct provider names are printed. 46 rows print a DBA. The workbook has no address, phone, USDOT, or MC column.

Filing Status prints Active on all 150 household-goods rows. That is the status in this file. It is not a later compliance review. CRM Modified On on the household-goods rows runs from 2025-10-23T20:42:41 through 2026-07-28T14:29:54. The file name carries the date token 2026-08-04. Those clocks are different. Retrieval on 2026-10-05 is not a certificate effective date.

Applications, tariffs, and insurance

S.C. Code Ann. Regs. 103-114 describes a Class E motor carrier as a common carrier of household goods or hazardous waste for disposal. S.C. Code Ann. § 58-23-10 et seq. is the motor-carrier statute cited on PSC Class E orders. The Public Service Commission and ORS both take part in a new certificate. The Class E application says an application without an attached tariff is incomplete. An application is not a certificate on this list.

S.C. Code Ann. Regs. 103-190 says a certificated motor freight carrier may not operate until its rates and rules are filed. ORS publishes a small-company tariff sample. The sample is not a carrier's tariff. Carrier tariff files were not acquired. A filing requirement is not a quote and is not proof that a named carrier's tariff is current.

S.C. Code Ann. Regs. 103-178 requires proof of insurance. The Class E application says Form E and Form H are filed with ORS. The workbook does not print insurance status. No dollar minimum was taken into this snapshot. A filing requirement is not current coverage.

Orders, other authority, and interstate moves

The PSC docket system holds applications, orders, and tariffs. It was not used to build this roster. No provider-level order was attached, including by name. A complaint corpus was not acquired. A complaint is not a finding.

The three Class E HAZ certificate numbers in this workbook are 8208, 9245, 8603. The separate hazardous-waste carrier file was not parsed, so its row count is not published. Class C certificates, transportation network companies, and fines are other ORS transportation pages. They are not in the 150 household-goods rows. A move that leaves South Carolina is an FMCSA interstate move. This workbook prints no USDOT number and no MC number, so no exact state-to-federal bridge was made. UCR was not acquired.
